Veteran’s writing project, Sioux Falls

Siouxland Libraries and the South Dakota Humanities Council are pleased to announce a veteran’s writing project in Sioux Falls.
 SIOUX Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Siouxland Libraries and the South Dakota Humanities Council are pleased to announce a veteran’s writing project in Sioux Falls.
Standing Together: The Humanities and the Experience of War is a grant funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities that aims to support projects that focus on the history, experience, or meaning of war and military service.
Veterans are being sought to participate in this project. The purpose of the project is for veterans to learn how to document their stories, why it is important, offer options for sharing, and advice on publishing their completed work.
Materials and refreshments will be provided. Registration is not required. It is not necessary to attend all meetings, but each meeting covers a different aspect of the project. Meetings are Thursdays, November 20, December 18, January 22, February 26, and March 19 from 6–8 p.m. at the Oak View Branch Library, 3700 East Third Street, Sioux Falls.
